Laura E. Brown graduated from University of San Diego School of Law in 2015 with a concentration in Energy and Environmental Law, and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Forensic Behavioral Science from California State University, Fresno. She is on the Board of Directors for the Fresno County Young Lawyers Association, where she previously served as secretary and as a representative to the Fresno County Pro Bono Services Section. She has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California and has also offered her time assisting high school mock trial students.
In law school, Ms. Brown was a member of USD’s 2014-2015 Appellate Moot Court Board. She was a member of two national teams, including the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition (National) in San Francisco and the Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition, in which she placed as a quarter-finalist. Ms. Brown also served as the Board’s problem writer for the 2014 Alumni Torts Tournament, which raised a novel question in the law of public nuisance.
As an attorney, Ms. Brown has worked as class counsel for several wage-and-hour class actions. She is admitted to practice in California and the Ninth Circuit and was admitted pro hace vice for the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada.
